DAVID Flitcroft is confident his Mansfield side can cope with the loss of Jacob Mellis to suspension.
The Stags brought in 20-year-old midfielder Timi Elsnik from Derby on loan recently and boss David Flitcroft believes he can fill the void.
“Timi has a calmness in possession and looks to link with strikers. He’ll take risks and try and score goals,” Flitcroft said.
“Competition for places is something that is really important. You have to have competition and players waiting in the wings. That’s what Timi gives us.”
