MELLOR’S SEASIDERS BOOST…

BLACKPOOL right-back Kevin Mellor could return from injury ahead of schedule, according to manager Gary Bowyer. The 27-year-old injured his ankle ligaments in training in February but is on the cusp of a swift return to competitive action.
Bowyer said: “Kelvin was out on the pitch on Monday and again later in the week, so that’s been really positive. He’s probably ahead of schedule, so we’re delighted with that.”
The Seasiders boss also hinted at an imminent return for striker Mark Cullen, 25, who underwent surgery on his hamstring in October.
