POPE EYES RETURN AT EASTER

PORT Vale captain Tom Pope is determined to return to action after revealing he needs a hernia operation.
The 32-year-old striker will be missing three or four weeks but has Vale’s home game against Chesterfield on March 30 in his sights.
“Reluctantly, I am going to have to miss some games,” he said.
“I need a hernia op and I’m probably going to be out of action for three or four weeks.
“If I can have surgery after the weekend, I am hoping I can be back in action for Easter at home to Chesterfield and away at Crewe.”
