HECK IS EDGING CLOSER TO DEAL

PAUL Heckingbottom is in no rush to put pen to paper on a new contract at Barnsley, though talks between manager and club are ongoing.
The 40-year-old is on a one-year rolling contract at Oakwell and was one of a number of bosses linked with the Sunderland post before Chris Coleman’s appointment.
Heckingbottom took over as Barnsley’s caretaker manager in February 2016 and led them to a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and League One play-off final double.
