DERBY KEEN TO KEEP FORSYTH AND RUSSELL

DERBY are looking to extend the contracts of Craig Forsyth and Johnny Russell, manager Gary Rowett has revealed. Defender Forsyth, 28, has been at Pride Park since 2013, the same year winger Russell, 27, joined.
Rowett is keen to extend the stays of both players, but admits there is still work to be done with the players’ representatives.
He said: “Fozzy (Craig Forsyth) we have spoken to about extending his contract.
“Johnny Russell is one that has been ongoing for a while now, probably about a month or two in terms of talking to him.
