EAGER FANS STEP UP TO THE PLATE

AT LUNCHTIME last Saturday, a few hours before the visit of Portsmouth to Bloomfield Road, hundreds of Blackpool Supporters’ Trust members packed into the Excelsior pub half a mile down the road.
They were in fine spirits, understandably, given the news 24 hours earlier that the Oyston family had put the club up for sale. For an hour questions were fielded on the detail of the high court ruling earlier that week, set to cost the Oystons in excess of £30m.
