GOALKEEPER Mark Howard believes Bolton’s promotion push has been boosted by their ability to play with freedom away from home.
The second-placed Trotters have been one of the division’s most successful sides on their travels and Howard, 30, says his team have been able to find a gritty streak away from the Macron Stadium.
“I think we have enjoyed being on the road this season,” said the Bolton keeper.
“You are under a lot more pressure to play nice football at home whereas away from home we can be a bit scrappier and a bit more direct.”
