NIGEL Clough was given the ideal reception by Mansfield Town as they caused a shock at Sunderland.
Newly-appointed Town boss Clough watched on as George Lapslie scored the only goal of the game to send the Stags through.
Richard Cooper ran things from the dugout as caretaker manager, and watched Lapslie head home to secure Mansfield’s first win of the season.
