LINCOLN City are loving life back in the Football League this season – and now they’re closing in on Wembley in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Danny Cowley’s Imps were behind twice against League One Peterborough but roared back to win 4-2 and land a home semi-final against Chelsea Under-21s on Tuesday, February 6. They also picked up £50,000 in prize money for beating the Posh. Peterborough took the lead in the 14th minute when Junior Morias’ shot flew in off Lincoln’s Neal Eardley for an own goal.
