Swindon Town say they will ‘reflect’ and ‘learn’ after being booted out of the Vertu Trophy for fielding two ineligible players in their round of 16 tie at Luton Town last month.
Swindon Town have been charged by both the Football Association and the English Football League following their Vertu Trophy victory over Luton Town on Tuesday.
It was raining goals as the Vertu Trophy knockout stages got underway in midweek – 57 were netted in 15 matches!
The EFL has confirmed the 16 invited sides from Premier League Clubs with Category One Academies that will join Sky Bet League One and Sky Bet League Two Clubs in the 2025/26 Vertu Trophy competition.
