Nigel Pearson’s Robins off to a flyer at Watford

DELIGHTED Nigel Pearson hailed his players’ fighting spirit after Bristol City came from behind to launch his managerial reign with a stunning victory at Swansea.
Pearson was appointed last Monday to replace the axed Dean Holden until the end of the season and watched from the stands as the Robins won 3-1 at Middlesbrough the following night.
However, he enjoyed his own 3-1 success yesterday as City came from behind to stun the Welsh side with goals from Nahki Wells, ex-Swan Kasey Palmer and Antoine Semenyo.
