FORMER Burton Albion manager Nigel Clough is the frontrunner for the vacant Mansfield Town job.
However, the Stags have not given up hope of landing top target Paul Cook, who left Wigan Athletic in July after a 12-point deduction condemned the Latics to relegation from the Championship.
Mansfield are searching for their third manager in 18 months following the dismissal of Graham Coughlan.
