Town midfielder Cole Skuse had waited a long time for a goal before his strike in the 2-0 win against on Saturday – 29 months in fact.

Skuse turned home three minutes into the second half of the game at Portman Road, scoring for only the second time in 176 appearances for the .

The 31-year-old last netted for the club in April 2015 against , also at home. Not known as a goalscoring midfielder, Skuse claims to have had an inkling that Saturday would be the day his goal drought came to an end.

“I had a funny feeling I might get one. You could say I felt it in my waters,” he told the club's official website.

“It was great work by Didz [David McGoldrick] and when he pulled it back I thought ‘I've got to hit this'. It took the slightest of deflections. It would have gone in the top corner if not!

“It was an important goal. We struggled first half but credit to Bolton they played well. We improved in the second half and Didzy was great for us after the break.

“I thought he would score earlier when he cut inside the lad but he hit the burger van with his shot!

“It was a great finish for the goal though. We've had a great start to the season and we've just got to look to keep it going.”

's side will endeavour to do so when they travel to Elland Road to face in a mouthwatering clash this Saturday.
