Hull City have made another foray into the transfer market today with the signing of midfielder Jon Toral from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee.
A busy day yesterday saw the Tigers sign defender Stephen Kingsley from Swansea but also sell midfielder Sam Clucas to the same side.
However, manager Leonid Slutsky has now reinforced his midfield with the capture of Toral, a Player of the Season for Birmingham in 2015/16 when on loan with the Blues. The Spaniard has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the option for a further year.
The 22-year-old has also had temporary spells with Brentford, Granada and most recently Rangers, but now brings an end to a Gunners career that never really got off the ground.
“This is a massive move for me, the biggest so far in my career and I can't wait to get started,” he told Hull's official website.
“I'm really happy to be here. I have experienced playing in the Championship and it is a league I enjoyed playing in. I want to use that experience now and help this team achieve its aims.”
Toral will wear the number 11 shirt at the KCOM Stadium and could make his debut this Friday when the Tigers take on Bolton.
