Peterborough’s next three fixtures postponed after positive Covid-19 test

Peterborough will not play again until the 2nd of January due to a player testing positive for COVID-19 and others displaying symptoms. t

Peterborough United have postponed their next three matches after receiving one positive test after the latest round of Covid-19 screening.

Posh have announced that their scheduled fixtures with Town, and Athletic have all been postponed due to coronavirus.

Squads across all three divisions are tested before and after matches, and this has seen one case arise at London Road having drawn 1-1 with MK Dons on Tuesday evening.

In addition to the positive case, Peterborough also confirmed that three others have displayed symptoms associated with coronavirus.

A club statement confirmed: “The safety and health of our players is paramount. The club have notified the EFL of the postponements.”

Peterborough are the second club this week in League One that postponed their next three fixtures. on , also notified the EFL of the postponement of their next three fixtures.
