LEAGUE TWO leaders were shocked at relegation battlers Accrington Stanley on Saturday – a result that throws the title race even more wide open.

Despite the defeat, and just two wins in their last six, the are still clear favourites for promotion – automaticlly or through the play-offs – at 1/9 with 888sport football betting.

and , the league’s most in-form side, are just a point behind the leaders and are both 1/5 to be playing next season.

The better value obviously comes from those teams in and around the play-offs with fifth place Fleetwood at evens to go up while in fourth are a decent 6/4.

The other two sides currently in the play-off positions are United who you can get for 5/2 and Southend at 7/1. The Shrimpers haven’t won in their last six and now might be the best time to back them if you expect their form to improve.

There always seems to be at least one side making a late run for the play-offs and that form side is always dangerous in the end of season ‘lottery’.

The two sides in eighth and ninth, Argyle and , are second and third in the form table and could easily sneak into the top seven.

Argyle are just two points off Southend and are 9/1 to win promotion while the best value might be with Nigel Worthington’s York.

The Minstermen, just four points off the play-offs, have won four and drawn two of their previous six and are a whopping 29/1 to go up to League One.
