Chistmas time is when the Championship usually settles down and you get a clearer picture of who is really in the hunt for honours.
Not this year. Pre-weekend, just four points separated fifthplaced Middlesbrough from 15th-placed Swansea. It’s wide open and incredibly tricky to call.
In the end, though, it will come down to consistent management, consistent coaching, and consistent performances from players.
