I always like to keep a keen eye on my former clubs (I’ve got a few!) and their fortunes during the season – and it’s great to see some of them challenging for promotion.
In the Championship, West Brom made a shrewd appointment in Carlos Corberan. Indeed, it’s gone so well that the Baggies have given him a new deal until 2026-27 - and I can see why. The Spaniard is a good coach and a good man.
He was very close to getting Huddersfield into the Premier League last season against the odds and so maybe a return to the top flight beckons for West Brom.
