Form is never as important as commonly assumed in the play-offs. As always, the wealthiest team with the best players usually wins.
That being said, only a fool would bet against Norwich City playing in the Premier League next year.
David Wagner’s resurgent Canaries had lost just three games in 2024 ahead of yesterday’s trip to Birmingham and haven’t tasted defeat at Carrow Road since Bonfire Night. Only Leeds boast a better record in the calendar year.
