Middlesbrough's unfortunate yet comprehensive defeat to Burnley last weekend showed exactly why Vincent Kompany’s Clarets will be so hard to stop.
For 60 minutes, Boro turned in a textbook performance against the runaway leaders. Compact, disciplined, squeezing the spaces between the lines and forcing Burnley’s wide players down the outside.

It was a feather in the cap of Michael Carrick and his coaching team, and the shock lead provided by Duncan Watmore shortly after half-time looked set to cap a tactical masterclass.
