Leeds switch ‘perfect’ fit for Ampadu

As an 18-year-old, I went on loan to Exeter City. I played with a guy called Kwame Ampadu, whose son Ethan was born while I was there.
Probably due to that connection, I’ve always taken an interest in Ethan, who made his debut for Exeter at 15, played for Wales aged 17 and has spent the last six years at Chelsea.

Now, after a seemingly endless succession of loan moves, he has joined Leeds for a fee of around £7m.

It’s a big move for Ethan. He’s always had the headlines, and the potential. He’s always been tipped for great things.
