FORMER Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is reportedly interested in buying Derby, but it’s difficult to see why.
Ashley is not in football for glory. He is in it for the money. His MO at Newcastle was to cut costs to the bone, sell the club’s best players and minimise investment in infrastructure, all in the name of turning a profit, which the Magpies - thanks to TV money - consistently did.
