WOUNDED TIGERS IN NEED OF A STRIKER

HULL City’s 4-1 demolition of Preston North End on the opening day of the season already seems like a very long time ago.
Pre-weekend, the Tigers had scored just one league goal since that euphoric afternoon at Deepdale, and last weekend’s 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United was their seventh straight game without a win. So much for a promotion bounce.
You can’t blame manager Grant McCann, or the players. They are trying. But for all the honesty and professionalism of men like Josh Magennis and Tom Eaves, neither is a striker of the calibre required for Championship survival....
