I WATCH a lot of National League football and that’s why I’ve got no concerns about Sutton United surviving in League Two this season.
There’s very little difference between the two levels these days. If National League clubs were allowed into the Football League Trophy, I’m sure they’d more than hold their own.
Admittedly, Sutton winning the title was a surprise to everyone.
They finished 13th the season before, so it’s a massive achievement from the manager Matt Gray.
What he’s done well - and the reason they won the title - is that he’s retained the nucleus of his squad ...
