JUST call it the luck of the Irish, but Preston’s Kevin O’Connor is counting his blessings after snaffling a €1 million lottery prize.
On New Year’s Eve, the 22-year-old left-back won the Irish National Lottery Christmas Millionaire Raffle. He cashed in a ticket bought by uncle and godfather Peadar Murphy and collected his hearty winnings at Dublin’s National Lottery offices on Tuesday.
