IT’S a new year but the same old story for Nile Ranger, who was this week sacked by Southend. The problematic front man, 26, saw his contract terminated by the Shrimpers for ‘reoccurring disciplinary issues’.
This is just the latest in a string of off-field incidents – including ten weeks in jail this past summer for attempted online banking fraud – for the once highlyrated Newcastle striker.
