Room 101: Noel Hunt (Leeds United)

The Leeds United striker  takes us through his pet hates that he wants thrown into the infamous Room 101

IGNORANT REFEREES

Not all referees, I must say. I used to be good friends with Dermot Gallagher and when he would referee a game he would admit when he got things wrong and apologise for it.

Ignorant RefereeI respect that, and there should be more of that in the game. But when referees ignore you that is so annoying because you can’t even speak to them. It’s just the ignorance of it that gets on my nerves. At least acknowledge when someone is speaking to you – it doesn’t take a lot of effort.

The FLP says: Referees get some unfair stick but ignorant referees wouldn’t hear it anyway – they’re going into Room 101.

SLOW PEDESTRIANS

This is a petty one but it annoys me almost every day. I’ll be driving along and a pedestrian will see me coming and cross the road anyway.

You have to slow down and I’ll let them cross, fine, but then they walk really slowly. You feel like opening the window and slapping them as you go past for wasting so much time. If you know you are holding someone up, hurry it up a bit, don’t stand around staring into space or intentionally walk slower. It gets on my nerves!

The FLP says: Patience is a virtue, Noel. Although it’s annoying, slow pedestrians can keep roaming the streets for now.

SHOW-OFFS

Show OffsI hate people who boast. For example if people have money or have expensive things and start posting it on Facebook or Twitter – they forget where they came from. You know I think it’s great that you have that but don’t rub it in. Especially if the money comes from their parents and they have haven’t even earned it.

They boast about the accomplishment but they’ve done nothing for it. I also hate people who try to be something they’re not. I like honest people. The biggest quality in people is honesty.

I can’t stand people who say one thing just to make people happy and then do something completely different.

The FLP says: To be honest we hate show-offs as well. I wonder if they will boast about being in Room 101?
