Bristol City send Gustav Engvall out on loan

Seventh placed Bristol City have loaned striker Gustav Engvall back to his native Sweden until the end of the season, with the 21-year-old re-joining top-flight side IFK Gothenburg until the end of July.

Engvall joined The Robins from Gothenburg at the start of last season but has failed to find the net in his nine appearances for the Robins. .

The striker has spent two previous loan spells in his native country, joining Djurgardens on both occasions. During these spells Engvall scored eight times in 25 games.

The 6 foot striker represented Sweden over 50 times at youth level and helped the nation’s Under-17 side to a third placed finish at the World Cup in 2013.

Bristol City are currently sitting just outside the play-off positions in the Championship with eight games of the season remaining. The Robins face a trip to relegation threatened Barnsley on Good Friday.
