ON THE day it was officially announced that Jersey Mike’s were the new title sponsors of the EFL Trophy, there was a goal frenzy to celebrate.
In 23 group stage matches up and down the country, a whopping 93 goals hit the net at a shade over four per game.
The American sub brand will be hoping it’s a taste of things to come as they give their backing to the competition.
