SPARE a thought for supporters of Oxford and Reading who were left twiddling their thumbs yesterday.
When the fixtures for the new League One season came out, they must have been looking forward to that one at the start of a bank holiday weekend.
However, in late June it was announced that the match had been rescheduled and would now take place on Tuesday, September 8 (or the following Tuesday if either side progressed to the third round of the Carabao Cup).
