RYAN Hedges says former Blackburn teammate Lewis Travis was instrumental in his decision to join Derby.
The 31-year-old winger was out of contract after leaving Ewood Park in May and spent the summer training at Derby alongside Travis and his former Rovers gaffer John Eustace.
It was reported in July that the Rams did not plan to offer the three-cap Wales international a contract, but he has now signed a one-year deal.
