MARCELO Bielsa, who returned to England with Uruguay last weekend, was always a man of the people.
As manager of Leeds, he lived in a one-bed flat above a sweet shop in Wetherby, just so he could walk to work. He shopped in the local branch of Morrisons.
Throughout his career, the 70-year-old has cared little for wealth and status, routinely giving his money to staff members, charities and anyone who needed a leg up in life.
