NEIL Warnock shelved the gardening gloves, mothballed the golf clubs and dusted down his tracksuit to take charge of Torquay United this week.
Is anybody surprised to see him back? The 77-year-old has retired more often than Tyson Fury over the course of his long and storied career, only to heave himself out of the armchair every time an SOS beams his way.
Admittedly, this one was very close to home. Warnock lives in Cornwall and was already acting as an advisor to the sixth-tier Gulls prior to Paul Wotton’s dismissal as manager last weeken...
