SHEFFIELD Wednesday fans thought things couldn’t get much worse than going down at Bra-mall Lane.
Last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at the home of arch-rivals Sheffield United condemned the Owls to the earliest relegation in the history of English football.
It was, supporters hoped, the final indignity of a desperate season that has ceaselessly plumbed new depths.
