When will the fifth round proper ties take place?

The fifth round ties are scheduled for the weekend of 7-8 March 2026, with the FA set to confirm the final schedule in due course once the broadcast schedule has been confirmed.

What’s at stake financially and competitively?

The rewards continue to ramp up at this stage of the competition.

Clubs who make it through to the FA Cup quarter-finals will pocket £238,500 from the competition prize fund – a significant boost for those still chasing a famous run.

What are some of the standout ties?

As already mentioned, Mansfield will host Arsenal as Nigel Clough’s side looks to continue their epic journey in this year’s competition.

The Gunners dumped Wigan Athletic out of the cup at the weekend and their next challenge is a trip to the One Call Stadium.

Wrexham will host Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea. Ryan Reynolds could not hide his joy as he reacted to the draw posted across his social media platforms.

The Red Dragons defeated Ipswich Town last Friday, as Chelsea stuffed Hull City on the same day.

Finally, Norwich will contest the Daniel Farke derby, as the Leeds United boss faces off against his former side.

The Whites escaped a cup shock against Birmingham City over a penalty shootout and will now face the Canaries, who are flying under Philippe Clement with seven wins across their last eight games in all competitions.
