LEAGUE One strugglers Burton Albion have revealed they rejected a £1m offer from an unnamed Championship club for striker Tyrese Shade last month.
The 25-year-old, signed in the summer from Non-League Eastleigh, is the Brewers’ second top scorer this season with ten goals across all competitions.
“We needed to decline because we knew what we needed to do to have the best team for the rest of the season,” sporting director Richard Dorman told BBC Radio Derby.
