Buoyant Blackburn boss Valerien Ismael was buzzing after Rovers won the Lancashire derby at Preston North End on Friday night.

Lewis Miller headed the visitors in front from a corner on the stroke of half-time, only for Preston to level in first-half stoppage time through Alfie Devine.
But Blackburn were the better side after the break, and Andri Gudjohnsen’s fourth goal in his past five league games secured their fifth win in eight games on the road.
“We showed all the faces you need in the Championship,” a jubilant Ismael said.
