Tim Flowers

A commanding presence between the sticks, Tim Flowers was a key figure for both Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers during the 1990s. After starting his career at Wolves and Southampton, Flowers joined Blackburn in 1993 and played a vital role in their memorable 1994–95 Premier League title-winning campaign. Later, he moved to Leicester City, where he became a fan favourite for his consistent performances and leadership, helping the Foxes secure League Cup success in 2000.

Robbie Savage

Robbie Savage’s combative style and tireless energy made him a standout midfielder wherever he played. The Wales international was a youth player at Manchester United before joining Crewe Alexandra. His impressive performances at Gresty Road earned him a move to Premier League Leicester City in 1997. He spent five years at the club, winning a League Cup Winners’ medal in 2000. He then moved to Birmingham City before a successful three-year spell with Blackburn Rovers, during which he endeared himself to supporters with his wholehearted displays.

Known for his relentless work rate and knack for scoring crucial goals, Paul Dickov had notable spells at both Leicester and Blackburn. The Scottish striker first made his mark at Manchester City but became a cult hero at Leicester, where his goals and determination helped the club in multiple promotion campaigns. After moving to Blackburn Rovers, Dickov continued to deliver with his trademark intensity, endearing himself to fans with his never-say-die attitude and commitment on the pitch.

Simon Grayson

A dependable defender, Simon Grayson spent several seasons at both Leicester and Blackburn during the 1990s. At Leicester, he was part of a resilient squad that earned promotion to the Premier League and established the club in the top flight under Martin O’Neill. His time at Blackburn added further top-level experience before he transitioned into management, where he’s since built a respected career across the Football League.

Jason Wilcox

A product of Blackburn’s academy, Jason Wilcox was an integral part of the club’s golden era in the 1990s. His crossing ability and attacking flair from the left flank played a major role in Blackburn’s Premier League triumph in 1995. After over a decade at Ewood Park, Wilcox went on to play for Leeds United and later Leicester City, where his experience added depth to the Foxes’ squad during a period of transition.
