Hull City manager Ruben Selles admitted his team were a “little bit paralysed” and “shocked” after the freak own-goal they conceded in a 1-0 defeat to Luton Town.
The result leaves the Tigers in trouble as their relegation rivals picked up the valuable three points at the MKM Stadium.
Hull skipper Lewie Coyle failed to clear his lines effectively, instead smashing the ball against his team-mate Alfie Jones and into the back of his own net.
The Yorkshire side remains in 20th place, three points above the relegation zone.
