LUTON Town have challenged the fan who racially abused Hatters striker Elijah Adebayo to repeat the insults in person.
The 26-year-old was sent the “abhorrent and unacceptable” message on Instagram following Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat to Sunderland, a match in which he scored his first goal of the season.
Adebayo has regularly been targeted by his own supporters, and a similar incident last season prompted the Hatters to make an emotive video showing the real-life effects of online abuse.
