Match Preview: Birmingham City v Sunderland (Saturday, 3pm)

The visitors come into the game on the back of a defeat in their last match, having lost to 1-0 away.

The visitors are eight places ahead of the home team in 10th, with 14 wins and five draws putting them on 47 points.

Birmingham are in mixed form in the Championship, with two wins and a draw from their last six games.

Saturday’s match will be refereed by Steve Martin, who has taken charge of four Championship games so far this season, issuing no red cards and booking 19 players. He has awarded one penalty.

The last Sunderland game Martin refereed was the 1-0 loss away at on December 16. He is yet to oversee a match featuring Birmingham this season.
