Watford manager Rob Edwards hailed “special” striker Joao Pedro ahead of tomorrow night’s heavyweight cash against West Brom.
The 20-year-old Brazilian, signed from Fluminense in January 2020, scored nine goals in 30 games during Watford’s last season in the Championship, and opened his account for the current campaign with a well-taken finish in Monday’s 1-0 win over Sheffield United.
But it was his all-round performance that impressed, with Pedro pressing tirelessly and seamlessly switching positions across a fluid front three.
