Wolves re-sign Mike Williamson

The 32 year old spent a total of six years at Newcastle, after making 169 appearances for the Geordies and scoring two goals.

Williamson spent a month at Wolves earlier this season, making three appearances with the side conceding just one goal in those games. His loan was extended, but injuries forced him to return to his parent club after making another two appearances.

Williamson is expected to cost Wolves around £250,000, and joins fellow new signing Will Randall at Molineux.

The comes on the same day that the Midlands club announced the sale of defender Scott Golbourne to .

 Head Coach told the club’s official website, “We are losing one defender and bringing another one in which balances things out, and we are looking forward to Mike being back with us.

“He made an excellent impact whilst on loan, and brought his considerable experience and leadership to the back four.“We will be pleased to secure his services and are looking forward to getting him back here and making another positive impact on the team.”

Wolves are currently sitting in 12th place in the and face Wanders at home on Tuesday
