PAYNE TARGETS ‘SPECIAL’ SUCCESS

JACK Payne might have won promotion from every EFL division but he admits that going up from League Two with Swindon would top the lot.
The Tower Hamlets-born midfielder, then 20, converted a penalty during Southend’s League Two play-off shoot-out victory over Wycombe at Wembley in 2015.
He also made 23 Championship outings for Huddersfield as they made it to the Premier League for the first time by beating Reading in the play-off final two years later.
