BRAZILIAN LOAN FOR R’S NIKO

QPR defender Niko Hamalainen has signed a loan deal with Botafogo.
It is the latest temporary switch away from Loftus Park for the Finland international, who spent the second half of 2021 plying his trade in the MLS with LA Galaxy.
Hamalainen will stay with the Brazilian side until July with QPR holding a recall option.
Botafogo are beginning their domestic season with the top-flight campaign in Brazil running through until November.
The 25-year-old came through the QPR academy, but has not featured since last April after falling out of favour with boss Mark Warburton.
