LEE Johnson believes Sunderland have pulled off an incredible coup by signing Patrick Roberts from Manchester City on an initial six-month contract.
But he is stalling over a move to bring Jermain Defoe back to the Stadium of Light.
Winger Roberts, 24, enjoyed a trophy-laden two-and-a-half-year loan at Celtic, where he contributed 18 goals and 26 assists in 78 appearances while picking up three successive Scottish Premiership titles.
