BARTON BLASTS LOANEE THOMAS

JOEY Barton launched an astonishing attack on Barnsley loanee Luke Thomas following his display in the midweek draw against Salford.
Barton felt the 22-yearold midfielder, on as a substitute, should have secured three points for his side against the nineman Ammies, who then equalised deep into stoppage time.
“Luke Thomas will not get a better opportunity to score a goal in pro football,” Barton said. “He doesn’t even hit the target, which kind of sums up where he is at for me.
