RICHARD LOOKING TO BUILD ON RAMS DEBUT…

DEFENDER Richard Stearman was delighted to make an impact on his Derby bow and hopes to kick on now the season is under way.
The 33-year-old was out of contract after leaving Huddersfield at the end of the last campaign, but impressed Rams boss Wayne Rooney when he was invited to train with Derby in pre-season and went on to sign a one-year deal.
He explained: “It was a bit of a whirlwind few days for myself and the club. It was just nice to get out there, have some fans back in and pick up a valuable point.”
