O’NEILL’S CHESTER STRIFE…

STOKE manager Michael O’Neill admits James Chester should not have been playing through the pain barrier.
Chester’s season appears to have come to a premature end after the Wales defender, 32, limped off during the 3-2 home defeat to Coventry on Wednesday.
O’Neill said: “James probably shouldn’t be playing, he’s having to have his knee drained in between games.
“But he’s putting himself out there for us as the injury list is long.
“James has done his calf.
“I would imagine that will be him for the rest of the season now.&rdquo...
