JOHN Akinde believes he and Vadaine Oliver are a strong partnership.
Gillingham striker Akinde, 31, scored twice against Bristol Rovers to make it three goals in two matches, and he said: “I want to score goals and I want to help the team win and get three points.
“I think Big V (Oliver) coming on helped me massively. He obviously shares the load, then all of a sudden they’ve got to think about which one they need to pick up. We worked well together.”
